The intent of this fellowship is to promote new knowledge about salient trends occurring throughout various strata of the U.S. Latino community.<\/p>\n<p>The application deadline for the NHI Postdoctoral Fellowship for Analyses of U.S. Latino Dynamics is <strong>Monday March 26, 2007<\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Primary sectors that will be investigated throughout the course of the fellowship include (1) annual college-bound cohorts of NHI participants in rural and urban locales; (2) foreign-born and first generation Latino students in grades 7-16; (3) family life management practices of Latinos in Texas; and (4) Latino-based organizations throughout the United States. This competitive postdoctoral fellowship will provide twelve (12) months of support for individuals engaged in postdoctoral investigations after the attainment of a Ph.D., Sc.D., or Ed.D. degree.<\/p>\n<p>Fellows will receive awards in the amount of $40,000 and a $2,500 travel stipend beginning April 16, 2007. This fellowship may not be deferred or delayed.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for this fellowship, candidates must:<br \/>\n* Be fluent in English and Spanish;<br \/>\n* Have an extensive familiarity with a range of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies; and<br \/>\n* Have a history of conducting multidimensional analyses of various U.S. and\/or transnational Latino populations.<\/p>\n<p>The application deadline for the NHI Postdoctoral Fellowship for Analyses of U.S. Latino Dynamics is <strong>Monday March 26, 2007<\/strong>.
