{"id":847,"date":"2011-10-20T05:28:02","date_gmt":"2011-10-20T05:28:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.malcs.org\/archive-2017\/?p=847"},"modified":"2011-10-20T05:28:02","modified_gmt":"2011-10-20T05:28:02","slug":"fellowship-dissertation-african-diaspora-boston-college","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/malcs.org\/archive-2017\/2011\/10\/20\/fellowship-dissertation-african-diaspora-boston-college\/","title":{"rendered":"FELLOWSHIP: Dissertation, African Diaspora, Boston College"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong>2012\/13 AADS Dissertation Fellowship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>DEADLINE: 3 February 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Boston College\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s African &amp; African Diaspora Studies Program (AADS) invites scholars working in any discipline in the Social Sciences or Humanities, with projects focusing on any topic within African and\/or African Diaspora Studies, to apply for our dissertation fellowship.\u00c2\u00a0 We seek applicants pursuing innovative, preferably interdisciplinary, projects in dialogue with critical issues and trends within the field.<\/p>\n<p>This fellowship includes a $30,060 stipend, health insurance, a $1,500 research budget, and a shared office.\u00c2\u00a0 The fellow must remain in residence for the academic year, deliver one public lecture, and teach one seminar course.<\/p>\n<p>The successful applicant will have full access to all libraries as well as several rare books and manuscripts collections; of particular interest is the Nicholas M.
