Godinez, and Sofia Villenas<\/strong> for their edited collection, <em>Chicana\/Latina Education in Everyday Life:  Feminista Perspectives on Pedagogy &#038; Epistemology<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunypress.edu\/details.asp?id=61295\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">SUNY Press<\/a>, Aug 2006).  The text was awarded the Critics&#8217; Choice Award by the American Educational Studies Association.<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"150\" width=\"118\" decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" title=\"Chicana\/Latina Education\" id=\"image81\" alt=\"Chicana\/Latina Education\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.malcs.org\/archive-2017\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2007\/02\/chicanalatinaeduc-118x150.jpg?resize=118%2C150&#038;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Their work examines &#8220;mujer-centered&#8230; definitions of pedagogy and epistemology rooted in Chicana\/Latina theories and visions of life, family, community, and world. Armed with the tools of Chicana\/Latina feminist thought, the contributors link cultural studies theories to critical\/feminist pedagogies by re-envisioning the sites of pedagogy to include women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s brown bodies and their agency.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fellow MALCSista Ed\u00c3\u00a9n Torres opines \u00e2\u20ac\u0153This book has the potential to transform the way we theorize feminist pedagogy or conceptualize ways of knowing.
