Lurie College of Education<br \/>\nJob Opening ID (JOID): 14219<br \/>\nRank: Assistant\/Associate Professor (Tenure-Track)<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for a dynamic faculty member to work in the credential and masters\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 program in educational administration and in a proposed independent doctoral program in educational leadership. In addition to working with master\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s and doctoral candidates, responsibilities include research and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams in seeking extramural funding, and teaching in areas of expertise.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Qualifications: Required. The candidate must have an earned doctorate in Educational Administration or a related field. Potential for excellence in teaching, scholarly research, publications and grant writing for appointment at the Assistant Professor rank. For appointment at the advanced rank, must have broad teaching experience, significant scholarly, professional and grant writing achievements. Applicants will have demonstrated an ability to work successfully with diverse student and community populations. Applicants should have awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.<\/p>\n<p>Preferred: Experience as a school leader in K-12 school settings. Experience in developing and teaching graduate level courses in the following: school and\/or district leadership in reform and change efforts and school\/university collaborations, school finance and\/or law, digital media in educational leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities: Teach courses in educational administration and leadership; contribute to knowledge creation in the field of Educational Leadership through scholarship, publications and grant writing. Field supervision in educational settings. Chair and\/or serve on masters\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 and doctoral projects. Work collaboratively with members of the educational community. Serve on department and university committees, and contribute to program and curriculum development.
