It&#039;s here!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I just received the latest gorgeous copy of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/malcs.org\/journal.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><em>Chicana\/Latina Studies<\/em><\/a><\/strong> featuring a cover image of Guatamaltecas demonstrating in the streets, and a preface by outgoing editor Alicia Partnoy.  The Fall 2006 issue features articles on puertorrique\u00c3\u00b1a filmmaker Frances Negron-Muntaner and the late Gwen Araujo, by Rosa Campos-Brito and <a href=\"https:\/\/malcs.org\/blog\/?p=29\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Linda Heidenreich<\/a> respectively, as well as poetry by Norma Cantu &#038; Patricia Marina Trujillo.  Joann Lo writes about global labor activism; Roselyn Costantino about femicide in contemporary Guatemala; Tiffany Ana Lopez about academic struggles, and Eden Torres about <a href=\"https:\/\/malcs.org\/blog\/?p=19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Catriona Esquibel&#8217;s new book<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to Alicia, KarenMary Davalos, and all the <em>CLS <\/em>staff for a truly beautiful journal.
