Anzald\u00c3\u00baa.\u00c2\u00a0 El Mundo Zurdo seeks to provide a place for scholars, students, and community to come together with the intention of engaging in the continued study of Anzald\u00c3\u00baa\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s intellectual and spiritual work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">UT San Antonio in collaboration with Trinity University, the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center, and Caf\u00c3\u00a9 Citlali have united their efforts to offer a series of events from November 4-6, 2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The conference will begin on Thursday evening (November 4) with a welcome reception at the Esperanza Center (922 San Pedro Ave.) and the viewing of the film \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Altares\u00e2\u20ac\u009d on the life of Anzald\u00c3\u00baa.\u00c2\u00a0 The main conference panels, workshops, performance, and roundtables will be held at UTSA Downtown Campus on Friday, November 5 (8:00-6:30 p.m.) and on Saturday, November 6 (8:30 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 2:30 p.m.).\u00c2\u00a0 In addition, there will be Noche de Cultura\/Cultural Night held at Caf\u00c3\u00a9 Citlali (1913 S. Flores inside Gallista Gallery) on Friday 7:00-9:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">There will also be a book release and sale of El Mundo Zurdo: Selected Works from the Meetings of the Society for the Study of Gloria Anzald\u00c3\u00baa 2007 &amp; 2009 edited by Norma E. Cant\u00c3\u00ba, Christina L. Guti\u00c3\u00a9rrez, Norma Alarc\u00c3\u00b3n, and Rita E.
