We are open as to sector or level of analysis\u00e2\u20ac\u201dlocal, regional, national, hemispheric, or global\u00e2\u20ac\u201dand prefer a comparative and\/or transnational approach in the Americas. Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is expected. We are interested in candidates whose degrees are in the following fields: Economics, Sociology, Geography, Political Science, Public Policy, Urban Planning, Ethnic Studies, Environmental Studies, History, Anthropology, or Business Administration. We are seeking candidates with strong research experience and teaching capacity in this field who will actively contribute to the development of a new interdisciplinary Ph.D. program.<br \/>\nRANK: Assistant Professor (tenure-track)<br \/>\nSALARY: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience<br \/>\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\u00c2\u00a0 Assistant level &#8211; Ph.D. in a social science or closely related field, completed by July 1, 2009.
