The Department welcomes qualified applicants with a Ph.D. by the time of appointment in any social sciences and humanities areas of Chicana and Chicano, Latina and Latino Studies.<\/p>\n<p>Of particular interest to the Department are scholars specializing in the broadly conceptualized fields of political history; immigration studies; art theories, art practices, and\/or art history; LGBT\/queer genders and sexualities; and literature. The visiting scholars will each teach a total of five courses, four undergraduate and one graduate, and will participate in advising and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in addition to course assignments.\u00c2\u00a0 There is a flexibility of a two- or three-quarter appointment in academic year 2008-2009.
