{"id":1665,"date":"2015-08-05T09:45:24","date_gmt":"2015-08-05T16:45:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.malcs.org\/archive-2017\/?p=1665"},"modified":"2015-08-05T09:46:05","modified_gmt":"2015-08-05T16:46:05","slug":"2015-leadership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/malcs.org\/archive-2017\/2015\/08\/05\/2015-leadership\/","title":{"rendered":"2015 Leadership Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Mujeres Activas en Letra y Cambio Social<\/em> is proud to announce the new members of the Executive and Coordinating Committees, elected at the 2015 Summer Institute Members&#8217; Meeting.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.malcs.org\/archive-2017\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2011\/07\/2015MALCS-EC-e1438646616612.jpg?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1663 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.malcs.org\/archive-2017\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2011\/07\/2015MALCS-EC-300x178.jpg?resize=300%2C178&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"photograph of 2015 MALCS EC &amp; CC\" width=\"300\" height=\"178\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our newly elected officers are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chair Elect: Judith Flores Carmona<\/li>\n<li>Recording Secretary:\u00c2\u00a0Jean Aguilar-Valdez<\/li>\n<li>Treasurer: Lisa-Justine Hernandez<\/li>\n<li>Membership Coordinator: Vanessa Fonseca<\/li>\n<li>At-large Representatives:\u00c2\u00a0Martha Acevedo and Dora Lopez \u00c2\u00a0Mata<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Due to personal reasons A\u00c3\u00adda Hurtado had to resign as Chair-elect. The Coordinating Committee decided\u00c2\u00a0that Nohemy Sol\u00c3\u00b3rzano-Thompson would stay one more year as Chair and\u00c2\u00a0that Rita Urquijo-Ruiz would remain one more year as Ex-Officio.<\/p>\n<p>Our\u00c2\u00a0Caucuses also elected new representatives who will serve on the Coordinating Committee.
