The Department of History at Texas State University-San Marcos invites applications (link here<\/a>) for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professorship in Mexican American history.
\n Preference is given to candidates who focus on the modern period, from the mid-nineteenth-century forward, as demonstrated through the dissertation and\/or research and publications. Ph.D. required by time of appointment, salary commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will teach advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in Mexican American history, as well as survey courses in World Civilization or U.S. history. In addition to excellence in teaching, an active research agenda and participation in departmental programs is expected. Appointment date is August 15, 2013. <\/p>\n
