You can get all the latest information about this year’s SI, as well as information about past gatherings, on our Summer Institute page<\/a>.<\/p>\n Subscribe to our email listserv or the blog<\/a> or check back to this website regularly for the latest info. \u00c2\u00a0Emailing us constantly to ask will not help, really.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n MALCS has our own facebook page<\/a>!<\/p>\n We encourage you to add us as a friend<\/a>, follow us as we write about MALCS events and activities.<\/p>\n Our facebook page is currently moderated by an informal network of members and correspondents including ex-oficio chair Rita Urquijo-Ruiz, and Mexican national correspondent Carmen Ponce Melendez. We currently have two main email lists; the first is the official MALCS list for members only, and the second is for allies and affiliates. \u00c2\u00a0If you’d like\u00c2\u00a0to subscribe to the lists, please\u00c2\u00a0use the link<\/a> in the sidebar of our home page.<\/p>\n Is my message moderated?\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong> Sometimes emails will be rejected if<\/em> they are sent to multiple addresses in addition to a list;\u00c2\u00a0this is our default since these are supposed to be private lists.\u00c2\u00a0 So you cannot send an email to\u00c2\u00a0“members@malcs.net”<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0AND\u00c2\u00a0moc.oohayobfsctd-5fded5<\/span>@yddubym<\/span><\/a>“\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 – \u00c2\u00a0again, it will be submitted for moderation and the moderator will approve or reject.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We have a \u00c2\u00a0list titled Madres Profesoras<\/strong> which seeks to provide a supportive queer-friendly forum for Chicanas, Latinas, and women of color parents who are juggling both children and academic careers. \nMost (90%?) email to the lists goes through immediately.
\nIf someone submits an email to a list to which they are NOT subscribed OR they send a message from an email address other than the one they used to subscribe, the message has to wait for moderation, and the moderator usually approves or rejects it within a day or so.<\/p>\nOther Email lists<\/h2>\n
