JOB: Comparative Ethnic Studies, UC Berkeley

TENURE TRACK APPOINTMENT IN COMPARATIVE ETHNIC STUDIES
WITH AN EMPHASIS ON CHICANA/O LATINA/O STUDIES

Pending budgetary approval, the Department of Ethnic Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, invites applications for an Assistant Professor of comparative ethnic studies with an emphasis on Chicana/o Latina/o studies.  The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in an appropriate disciplinary or interdisciplinary field by the time of appointment.  We encourage scholars engaged in the overlapping research areas of Chicana/o and U.S. Latina/o cultural studies, visual and performance studies, media studies, feminist studies, and queer studies to apply.  The position will have teaching responsibilities in the Chicana/o Studies Program, the comparative Ethnic Studies undergraduate program and the Comparative Ethnic Studies doctoral program.  The department seeks candidates whose research, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education.

Salary is commensurate with the level of appointment and based on University of California pay scales.
