Job: Psychology, Human Development at California State University San Marcos

California State University San Marcos expects to hire one new tenure-track assistant professor for Fall 2012. Applicants for this position must provide evidence of teaching excellence, interest in supervising Master’s theses, and the ability to involve undergraduate students in an active research program. Only candidates with active research programs will be considered. We welcome applicants with interest in interdisciplinary work and research taking advantage of our ethnically diverse region. Ph.D. should be completed prior to date of appointment.

We are seeking an individual with a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology, Human Development, or a related field with expertise in developmental psychopathology and/or developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will teach courses in development across the lifespan (lower division, upper division, and graduate levels) and developmental psychopathology or developmental disabilities of children/adolescents. Applicants must have demonstrated evidence of experience in working with and/or conducting research on atypically-developing children/adolescents.
